Victoria Dragons won the Hong Kong Quadball Cup by a tiebreaker after two fierce matches

On 23 August 2025, our Association organised the third edition of the Hong Kong Quadball Cup at the Po Kong Village Road Cricket Ground, Diamond Hill. After the two-legged matches between Hongkong Hydras Quidditch Club and Victorian Dragons, both teams won a game. After adding up the scores of both games, the Victorian Dragons successfully defended their title by the tiebreaker.

The Hong Kong Quadball Cup was first organised in 2023, aiming to provide local quadball clubs and teams with an opportunity to play competitively and promote the sport locally.

Apart from local players, this year's game is joined by two returning players flying in from Japan. The lists of players are as follows:

The tournament

The tournament consisted of a two-leg tie between Hongkong Hydras QC and Victorian Dragons.

Daniel CHAN acted as the Head Referee, assisted by Thomas AU, Yoyo LAU, Carol LEUNG, Rachel LI, Wincy TSANG and Lynn WANG (as Assistant Referees).  AU additionally served as the flag runner.

We concluded the event with a prize presentation ceremony and a special session to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the introduction of quadball to Hong Kong.
